♠ Basics ♠
Occupation: I work in retail at a dollar store, and I dog-sit on the weekends. :)
Likes: My two biggest 'likes' are music (I play bass guitar) and anything military. I used to be an Air Cadet, and that started my whole passion for it. I'm even considering joining the Reserves. I also love animals, 1940s hairstyles, 80s music, movies, and hanging out with my two best friends.
Dislikes: Nasty bosses, people who talk about you behind your back, when people only watch war movies for the explosions and guns, and when people act like they know you and assume things when they really have no clue.
Strengths: I'm a great listener. :P I'm also pretty confident (but in a quiet way lol) and I'm very comfortable with who I am as a person. I also have a pretty cutting sense of humour and I'm pretty quick with the comebacks. I've been told I'm really good at inspiring people - I guess cause when I'm passionate about something, I'm really passionate about it.
Weaknesses: I can be fairly stubborn. And impatient. That's probably my worst one - being impatient. When I decide to do something, I want to do it now. I can get really grumpy if I can't do it right away. :P
♠ More In-depth ♠
Introvert or extrovert?: Definitely more introvert. I'm confident, but in a quiet way. I don't need to hear myself talking really, cause I know what I'm thinking anyway.
Hard Worker or layabout (or somewhere in between)?: Somewhere in between. I love my lazy days, and can just sit around for hours reading or watching movies, but when I work, I work hard and I get the job done.
Are you the leader type?: Yes - I was a Sergeant in Air Cadets, and always enjoyed being in the position of leading or teaching a bunch of Cadets.
Are you adept at raising others' spirits?: Pretty adept, I think. Since I'm a good listener, I can usually figure out what to say to make people happy.
Do you consider yourself popular?: I'm in between.
People who first meet you probably think you are: Quiet, maybe a little intimidating. I've had quite a few people tell me that when they first met me, they were intimidated cause I didn't say much but I looked tough, apparently. :P
How do you handle high-pressure situations?: I'm okay with them. I can get really nervous sometimes when I'm under pressure, and when I do I get super shaky and talk really fast. But I can usually figure it out and get through it. But the whole time I'm shaky.
Are you self-motivated, or do you rely on the encouragement of others?: Both. I'm usually good at self-motivation, but it never hurts to hear something encouraging from a friend.
Do you work through unpleasant situations for your own satisfaction, or to prove yourself to others?: For my own satisfaction for sure, cause I don't really care what other people think of me too much. There's nothing better than getting through something tough and feeling great about yourself after.
♠ We Stand Alone Together ♠
Your weekend pass has been revoked. What were you planning on using it for?: Awww damn. Going to the movies with one of my best friends! Maybe taking a teeny side trip to the bar for one drink.
You've been dropped into Normandy. You're all alone, it's pitch black, and there are Germans round every corner. How do you react? Who do you encounter on your trek to meet up with the rest of your battalion?: Freak out at first, mumble "oh man oh man oh man!!!" for a bit, and then take a few deep breaths and set off to find my buddies. I likely run into someone who I'm sort of friends with, which calms me down a little, and then we run into my best friend just a few moments later and I'm okay.
You're caught in heavy fire and you see a buddy take a hit a few feet away from you. Do you go and help him, or immediately dive for cover?: I definitely go and help him. No matter if he's a super close friend or not, that's a buddy and he needs help.
Many of your fellow paratroopers take the opportunity to grab a few souvenirs whilst billeting in towns. What, if anything, do you take and why?: Not a lot. Maybe if there was an enemy's gun laying around? That'd be sort of cool.
War is over. What are your plans for the future?: Probably stay in the military, cause I love it and my friends too much to leave. Even just thinking about leaving my pals has me crying like a baby.
Please include 1-3 photos of yourself (optional): Well let's just say I have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, and I usually look like I stepped out of the 1940's - complete with a flower clip in my hair and red, red lipstick. :P
